“One Health”, Learn in Our Webinars

What is “One Health”?

Humans and animals share spaces, making it very important to care for animal health as much as human health, as there are infectious microorganisms that affect both.

Various diseases such as Ebola, rabies, listeriosis, and now Covid-19, have animal origins.

Due to this pandemic, the concept of “One Health” is highly relevant.

“One Health” is a global strategy based on interdisciplinary collaboration to care for people, animals, and the environment, as all are interconnected.

At The Farm, we advocate for the necessity of a “One Health” approach to prevent, manage, and control diseases in humans and animals, thus protecting the environment.

Veterinarians

The health of animals directly affects human health, and vice versa. This is why veterinarians play a key role in controlling the risk of disease transmission from animals to humans, known as zoonoses, both directly (through contact) and indirectly (through food).

They take care of our animals’ health, thereby protecting everyone’s health.

The “One Health” strategy focuses on enhancing communication and interdisciplinary collaboration between physicians and veterinarians, in the care of the health of all and the environment we live in.

At The Farm, we advocate for a unified health for the environment, animals, and people. That’s why we are conducting a series of webinars with veterinarians and reputable professionals, who help us understand and implement the “One Health” concept.
