Webinar ‘Training, the Engine of Change’

Pork Sector in Spain

The Spanish pork sector generates more than 300,000 direct jobs and over 1,000,000 indirect ones. We are the 4th largest producer of pork globally and the 2nd in Europe. How did we get here?

Thanks to the investment in R&D and the professionalization of the sector.

Why is training important?

Quality training transforms the sector, makes jobs more attractive, reduces turnover, and enhances the sense of belonging to the sector.

How can we attract new talent to farms?

The more technologically advanced the farms, the better the schedules will be, creating higher-level professional profiles that will attract young people to rural Spain.

The most competitive factor of farms is the qualification of the human team working on them.

In this webinar, new training plans such as Dual Vocational Training specialized in pork and other training projects already underway were discussed.

The Experts

To identify training needs and know how to develop a specialized offer, our CEO Miguel Chico was accompanied by 3 great professionals from the sector:

✅ Eduardo Costa (President of I+Porc) ✅ Jose Antonio Fernández (CEO of 333 Pig Academy) ✅ Miguel Ángel Higuera – Director of Anprogapor as moderator.

We are committed to training the sector and promoting collaboration with universities, schools, and training centers.
