“ONE HEALTH” WEBINAR
We have titled our first webinar “One Health”: The medical/health care sector collaboration against the pandemic, and it originated before what we consider a lack of accuracy regarding the information relative to the Covid-19 broadcasted by the media.
Being the main strategic consulting company specialised in communication in the pig and agri-food sector, we wanted to shed light on what is happening, offering true knowledge so we know towards where we should direct our actions, and how the cooperation between different actors can make the difference in the sector.
The collaborative approach is essential to address this question because collaboration promotes positive results. It’s our motto: “Together we are better”.
Can things be carried out better regarding the Covid-19? Are there measures that could have been taken and that have not been taken? Must the veterinarians take part in the control of pandemics? Are there contingency plans? In this webinar we will try to answer these and many other questions.
In this enjoyable event we will tackle health as a common subject (under the “One Health” concept), with a complete view along with three of the greatest experts in the Spanish medical/health care sector field:
- Carlos Escribano, Former Director-General of the Livestock Services of the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries, and Food of Spain.
- Raúl Ortiz de Lejarazu Leonardo, Virologist, Scientific Advisor, and Professor Emeritus of the Spanish National Influenza Centre at Valladolid.
- José Manuel Sánchez-Vizcaíno, Animal Health Professor at the UCM and Director of the WHO/OIE reference laboratory for ASF.
These three experts will shed light on the very needed medical/health care sector cooperation to deal with pandemics: epidemiologic plans, quick tests, and serological tests, herd immunity, contingency plans, and more relevant information regarding the SARS-CoV-2.
